The action takes place in the sitting-room of the Ludlows' house on the outskirts of Tonbridge.

The programme states that "Tea will be on sale during the first interval at the matinee only (by arrangement with the CIRCLE STORES)" and "Ices will also be on sale during both performances (by arrangement with the FAIRLIGHT STORES)".

The Circle Stores was located just to the seaward side of the roundabout. It closed down in the early years of this new millennium, and is now a private house.

I am delighted to say that, not only is the Fairlight Stores still operating as the Fairlight Post Office and Stores, but for the last XX years (I'll let you know how many when I reach that part of the archive), they have acted as our Box Office. Long may they continue in business .... SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL POST OFFICE!
