Following the retirement of our hard-working and dedicated secretary Carol at our recent AGM, we have taken the opportunity to embark on a major re-structuring of the committee, with clear new roles and responsibilities for all members. It sounds very formal, but I am pleased to say that there is a wonderful spirit of optimism and co-operation, and committee meetings are a joy to attend. As a result, some changes will become apparent as time goes on. Notably, this website is to be redesigned and updated shortly. But don't worry, the extensive archive section and the poetry collection will remain available. We also plan to make some changes to our membership processing to streamline the renewal process. In doing so, we aim to introduce additional member benefots, so please watch this space. October 2019. With rehearsals in full swing for our forthcoming production of Farndale's Christmas Carol, we were saddened to learn of the death of our good friend Esther De Vries, who played the part of Mrs Reece in an earlier play from the Farndale series. Esther will be remembered by many for her wonderfully characterful presence on stage, and her warm and friendly nature off. She will be greatly missed. November 2019.
