The action of the Play passes in the drawing room of the Haylings' house in Westminster.

Any troubles in terms of recruiting new members (see notes to previous production) could not prevent the Players from putting on a good show and, as the report (left) indicates, they did so to a succession of packed houses. The cast is made up of "old faithfuls" all of whom acquited their roles with honour.

The provision of live music during the interval was also obviously much appreciated.

The set is also complimented. What a shame that we don't have a picture of it ... I would just love to see how the set builders managed to squeeze the palatial set pictured below onto the Fairlight stage.
