For this performance, we have a charming collection of photographs of Anne Graham ... and why not? "Charming", as you will see, was the assessment of the writer of the review (right), and I am certain that the accolade was well deserved.

The play saw Nicos (Nick) Bouras make his debut for the players, and behind the scenes Jenny Hatfield is given credit for the decor. As many members will know, Jenny would go on to become a regular favourite in the cast.

The programme also included a list of plays performed by the Players since 1960, which is quite helpful for a budding archivist ... except that there is one play missing from the list. Compare the list below to the list on this website, and you will see that "Roar Like A Dove" (1964) is missing. I am quietly chuffed to think that some 40 years later we can put the record straight. However, the list is useful in that it appears to confirm our suspicion that there was no autumn performance in 1966.

Finally, I could not help but notice the somewhat chaotic typesetting in the newspaper article. Take a moment to study the fourth paragraph carefully. It's quite a puzzle, so I'll let you rearrange the lines, as I had to, in order to make sense of it.
