The first thing that I noticed about this programme was that we
have gone decimal. £sd has been consigned to history, and the cost
of membership for a year is 12.5p. I can't remember exactly when
decimalisation day was (I'm sure that some clever dick will
enlighten me) but I clearly remember that my butcher's round took
longer on the following Saturday morning as my customers struggled
to come to terms with the idea of counting in tens.
Anyway, returning to the plot, I note three new names on the
programme, all of them destined to become very well known to
Fairlight audiences. Bert Moore makes his debut as Leonard Brisby,
while, behind the scenes, Jack Wren joins us for the first time on
lighting and effects, while Vi Gotts helps out with decor and
props. |
