Additional productions were staged in
the Summers of 1992 and 1993 in aid of the Fairlight Village
Hall Refurbishment Fund. This, I am led to believe, resulted in the purchase of those
ghastly bright orange curtains that are the first things to be
discarded when we begin to put a set together. I have no
information to tell me how many performances were staged, but it seems likely that
there were at least two.
So far as I know, we do not have any pictures
from any of these performances, but I have found a copy of the script of "Master Dudley", which is
described as a Modern Tragedy in One Act. It features a cast of five
(Stella, Martha, Millie, Eileen and Dudley) and takes place in a
large old house in Hampstead. By the look of the mug-shots below
(from the script) I'd say that Master Dudley has every reason to
look miserable ... even the one good looking one seems to have a bad
smell under her nose! |
