On a cold winter’s night In a far off town
A baby was born
Who was to be the longed for Messiah
A stable in Bethlehem
Was where he was born
And Jesus was his name Mary and Joseph were his earthly parents
Visitors came to find him
On foot and camel,
From near and far they came
To that borrowed stable bare to see him
Shepherds on hills around
Heard angels singing
leaving their precious sheep
and hurrying to greet the new born King
Magi from distant lands
Rode o’er hill and dale
To pay their homage too
Expensive gifts they presented unto him
Two thousand years are gone,
we too pay homage
to our eternal King
as we too greet the Babe of Bethlehem
