November has gone which makes us remember
All the things we must do for the 25th of December
Time now to think of the arrangements to make
What to do first, Food, Presents or just decorate?
ANTICIPATION
As the days race by, we prepare the gift list
Which needs extra care so no one is missed
And we think too of that day and who to invite To our Christmas day lunch, who to phone or to write
CONSIDERATION
Then we think now of how much we should spend
As all of our wallets can come to an end
There are drinks to acquire and food to be bought
We must take care not to spend more than we ought
ESTIMATION
We now must decide how to make the house bright
With baubles and garlands and Christmas tree lights
With Mistletoe and Holly and perhaps an arrangement of flowers
Enough to keep busy for hours upon hours
DECORATION
Now there are cards to be bought—more money to spend
Then these must be written, Names, greetings and addresses to send
At Last, presents all wrapped and placed round the tree
Perhaps now to relax to sit back and feel free
CONGRATULATION
The great day has arrived, our guests soon to appear
Presents to open, to cries of Good Cheer But, whilst we are partying and wishing Goodwill to all
We should always remember the Nativity call
Whilst we and the carollers, and the Herald Angels sing
Let us give Glory to the New born King
