| The challenge to our members on
this occasion was to write a poem
containing 10 randomly chosen words. The words were as follows: Google,
Anagram, Difficult, Patience, Remember, Weather, Bicycle, Small,
Hesitation, Question. This is one of two efforts by Keith and,
being something of a Clever-Dick, he decided to include the words in
the order given! |
There was a young man named Dougal (I know......with these words you knew that one would appear!
& by the way, here's wishing you.......a HAPPY NEW YEAR!)
a..hem...whose pleasure was clicking on Google.
His searching for strange words....quite a fan
was to calculate the best anagram.
A task most would find by default
but to him not at all difficult.
We would quickly look out for sensations
but for Dougal he keeps calm with great patience.
So much better than losing one's temper
and not worrying about words to remember.
Double meanings no problem...he's clever
their spelling never questioning..... weather.
For us not easy finding rhymes with a nice title
but for him it would be more fun (you know what's coming!)
than learning to ride his new bicycle!
But all this is no use at all
for he wants long words to enthral! Sorry.... not small!...
So he gets on with it, there's no sense of occasion
no giving up nor even slight hesitation.
Now comes the last word...whoever proposed it..what a suggestion
it was (let me think...you may know what's to come!.... No no Dougal.... not..... congestion!.... but after this lot... perhaps.... indigestion! De Cyphering But no!....Oh dear oh dear.....and what was the a...um....
. …......Question?
