The challenge to our members on
this occasion was to write a poem
containing 10 randomly chosen words. The words were as follows:
Google, Anagram, Difficult, Patience,
Remember, Weather, Bicycle, Small, Hesitation,
Question
but not necessarily in that order. |
I remember the hesitation as a small child I RTo learn to ride a bicycle The question was, will I, or will I not, fall off My parents were very patient But my friends did all scoff
As time went by I joined a club And cycled everywhere through sun and mud The open life, that's for me But up in Scarborough by the sea I met this girl, as pretty as can be
I lover her dearly, but times got difficult As it seems the weather upset her hair She wasn't being very fair The bike must go, so on Google I went to find a car I didn't have to look very far Which pleased her no end And she said, "Ooh Ta!"
The car was great and to celebrate We took her old Gran for tea and cake Not knowing the old lady was good at anagrams She kept us amused until quite late Then we went home to cogitate
