An artist paints God's creation
Cobalt skies and flowing streams,
Leaf-strewn banks by the wayside,
Woodland glade and pastures green.
To feel the joy of the landscape,
The fragrant scents as you walk by,
Hear the robin's tuneful singing.
Precious treasures before the eye.
Seeking stillness of the country
Where heart and mind are renewed.
To wander among fields and meadows
Finding peace in its solitude.
The slightest rustle of a mouse
As rabbit and fox take their flight
Toads and frogs come to feed
Nocturnal beasts greet the night.
Oh the wonder that nature brings
As the breeze whispers to the ear
Observing wildlife in the spring
To welcome in the coming year.
