It was a beautiful day when I first saw him.
And I am sure you would all agree.
As the sunshine reflected on his gold earring.
I thought this is the one for me.
I will not forget when he gave me a smile,
As I tried to walk gracefully by,
Oh, I wish I’d got steak instead of the tripe
For my dinner, that night as I’d offer to cook his tea.
He walked up to me with a robust air
I couldn’t believe my luck;
He said he’d come back from an expedition this week.
And would I like a lift in his truck.
Oh, I hope a friendship will formulate
As I’ve not done well with the man.
But to find an explorer who owns his own truck.
Well, this time I think I’ve got ten out of ten.
