One hundred years & has the World learned?
The 1st World War so many concerned.
75 years from start of World War Two
no doubt someone in your family involved too.
Conflicts world wide still continue & even more erupt
into hurt & disorder, danger, and most corrupt.
New deaths, maiming and disruption rife
how can those fighting live their life
causing chaos, even enjoying or ignoring others' pain – it's all so, so, very insane.
Seems religious doctrines often blamed for the cause
the next life will excuse so no need to pause.
Or perhaps just men's need for power, pride and greed leaving female gender in the dark with ignored needs
their boys somehow brought up to emulate their fathers
perhaps brainwashed to forget sisters, mothers and life's starvers
Us seeing scenes of cheering gun toting rebels roaring by
in newish armoured trucks & tanks - who funds all this & why?
We now hear of ex UK Residents these activities don't despise
bringing possible conflicts to our shores if they be criticised.
We worry for our family with 7 Grand-children readying for life
will theirs be as good as ours or, we hope not, having more strife?
“Don't worry Grannie & Grandpa” “See you soon!” will be their likely response as they venture afar
off they will go whilst taking all of life in their stride
we are sure they & lets hope the World will see the pride
in respecting and protecting other's & their points of view
to safeguard the World for us all and of course........You!
