Under the clock at Waterloo

(RAF version Mk 1)
by Norman Dengate

Whilst in the Raf in Forty four
Some leave I had expected
But when my application was put in
It was formally rejected

So arriving on the train from Crewe
Furtively, with out a leave pass, you remember
And there, ‘under the clock at Waterloo
Snowdrops! What? in September?
